The Birth of a Great Pair of Pants: 18 Steps from Fabric to Finished Product

A seemingly simple pair of jeans actually goes through more than 18 production steps from fabric arrival to final shipment. Each step determines the final fit, hand feel and durability.

Fabric: where everything begins

We work with China leading denim mills and Japanese and Korean suppliers, keeping 300-plus fabrics in stock — from 7oz lightweight summer denim to 16oz heavyweight raw selvedge, pure cotton to Tencel and Modal blends. Every batch is tested for shrinkage, colorfastness and weight before production.

Cutting: fit is the soul

Wide-leg, tapered, slim, straight, cargo — every fit has its own pattern archive. With 20-plus cutting lines and AI marker-making, we push fabric utilization above 87%, reducing cost for our clients.

Sewing and washing

Japanese industrial machines handle key construction — five-thread overlock, double-needle bartacks at stress points. Washing is our core strength at the Zhongshan factory: from basic rinse to whiskering, sand wash, snow wash, spray monkey, overdye — over ten processes for every price point.

Quality control and finishing

Every pair passes three QC checkpoints: in-line sampling, final inspection and pre-pack audit. After pressing and individual polybag packing, we accept orders from 100 pcs and ship bulk goods in as fast as 15 days.

From fabric to finished product, every step carries MAGLAU 18 years of manufacturing expertise.
